Day 2 - Alaska
August 8, 2015
Today was the day we set sail for Alaska. In the morning we went to Pikes Market and tried some juicy nectarines. Then we walked down towards the end of the market. There we got egg sandwiches and bought some donuts. Next Mommy let me and Hadley each have 6 postcards. Later we walked home to our hotel room and packed our bags. Then we took a van to the boat. Me and Matthew were amazed by the humongous ship! Before we got on the ship some people checked our bags. Then we walked across the bridge and got onto the boat. When we were on the boat we walked up the stairs tj our room. After that we unpacked and checked out our room that we would be sleeping in for one week.
Then my family got to explore the ship. Here are some of the things we checked out. First we went up to the top of the boat and checked out the basketball court. Next we went to deck 17 and checked out the Kids Club. Then my family felt the pool temperature. Some of the pools were warm and some were freezing! Above one of the pools was a gigantic movie screen. Then we walked back to our room to get ready to go swimming. It was really cold when I got in. I heard Mommy say to get out of the pool so Matthew, Hadley and I got out of the water. When my family was all dry we went back to our hotel room and took showers. By the way, Daddy hit his head on the shower ceiling!
After that we walked to a restaurant called Botticelli. I got spaghetti, Matthew got chicken fingers and Hadley go fish sticks. After dinner we went back to our room and found out there was bunk beds. Five minutes later I brushed my teeth and went to bed.
