It's been quite a while since my last post, but I am resurrecting the Griesmer Family blog for my almost 3rd grader to take over. It's hard to believe that the chubby toddler who last appeared in this blog is now a few weeks shy of 8 years old! Where has the time gone?!

Tomorrow we leave for a once in a lifetime vacation to Alaska! Fourteen of us will travel to Seattle, WA tomorrow and then board the Crown Princess ship on Saturday afternoon.  First stop - Juneau, Alaska.  We are so incredibly excited and can't wait to journey to one of the most beautiful places on Earth. The kids are hoping to see a lot of wildlife and I promised them a whale watch in Juneau.  Can you say Dramamine?!

Stay tuned for pictures and details as our trip unfolds.  Jackson will be helping me write the posts, getting a chance to put his writing skills to good use.  We educators are always looking for ways to encourage our kiddos to grow as learners.  What better way to sharpen those writing skills for September?
